About

One Ashland is dedicated to supporting our community through education, conservation and preservation. By bringing the community together, we can initiate solutions to local issues as well as overcome financial limitations. By creating a collective, where everyone pitches in financially, we can self sustain by providing for our community, where we need it most. By working together, we can overcome budget cuts in our schools and communities. As a community we can provide for our schools, providing funding for field trips (which have recently been cut due to budget restraints), better food for our children, and music and art programs, which are essential, but sadly, dwindling.

If every person and business in our community donated to the best of their ability, we could raise enough funding to strengthen our community in awe-inspiring ways. Instead of watching as our tax dollars get spent in ways far from our control, we can raise the capital necessary to fund the issues that are important to us, as a community, whether that be better public transportation, creating community gardens and orchards to help sustain us agriculturally, or help fund programs at local schools to ensure our children our receiving the education they deserve.
The idea behind One Ashland, a non-profit, is simple:

Local businesses and community members donate what they can afford. The money goes into a collective pool. The One Ashland Board of Directors is made up of eight diverse community members, representing different areas of interesting in our community such as: small business, education, agricultural, commerce, legal, etc. As issues get brought up, our board of directors help decide where funds are needed the most. Issues will also be presented on our website, where businesses and community members will be able to vote as well, much like a cooperative.
By taking charge of local issues, we create the opportunity to make a difference in supporting our community as one. One Vision. One Community. One Ashland.
